PLANETARY BOUNDARIES

These pages give families and educators ideas for how to get children excited about the natural world and how they can become both its stewards and its champions. In the process they will learn to be more resourceful, more creative, less wasteful and less materialistic.

Teaching ‘planetary’ boundaries to children needs to be part of a long-term approach to living more sustainably and consuming more mindfully. Learning how to treat the Planet with respect is as important for a child’s long-term health and wellbeing as learning how to look after their bodies and how to treat others with kindness and compassion.

There’s something here to suit every child’s interests and personalities and the easiest and most effective way to teach this life skill is to integrate lessons into family life; to embed them into existing routines. You can sign up to my mailing list at the bottom of the page if you’d like a weekly suggested activity idea to help you along.

“A fantastic website for anyone who wants to teach their children in a fun way how they can take care of the world.”
